Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Update

March 27, 2020

BBPOS continues to closely monitor and react to the impact of Covid-19 around the world.  We continue to operate our business at full capacity and have enabled our employees to work from home.

Overall, production capacity is not an issue at the moment for our manufacturing OEMs in China and Thailand though lead-times for some components are longer than normal as some components are up to 18-20 weeks.  We review the forecast every week and prepare for long lead-time components.  Prices for some raw materials like capacitors and resistors are up sharply but we continue to work this issue. In addition, in order to shorten lead-times and fulfil orders, our OEMs are also checking to spot buy some components as we are able.

We previously shared our Covid-19 Business Continuity Plan.  In addition, Kevin Tang our Quality & Reliability Director is updating our overall business continuity plan not only for the short term but for the long term for any other outbreaks or other disasters that may occur.  The release target for this plan is in still in April.

We value your business and will continue to keep you informed.  Please reach your to your sales executive for any questions or concerns.
